Head of Technical Compliance

REF: GWO0-39

Key Responsibilities Include:

 Providing a regulatory interface between Gasway and the various industry statutory regulatory bodies (Gas Safe, HSE etc.)

  • Maintaining and developing current Gas quality management systems, processes, and measurements in line with legislation and operational requirements
  • Maintaining regulatory compliance audits on all fuel and energy sources across all business disciplines and providing technical support to the broader operational teams
  • Ensuring compliance of all Engineers in line with competency and training requirements to include the delivery of robust selection and induction processes
  • Development of KPI’s and provision of regular Compliance reporting to include the delivery of robust incident reporting
  • To review and monitor sub contractors to include on-boarding process, regular sub contractor skills assessments and site audits to ensure required technical competency is achieved
  • To lead the technical training agenda including internal and external training and qualification delivery and to provide Apprenticeship Technical development oversight

 

Candidates Background & Experience

 

  • ACS & OFTEC Qualified (Domestic / Commercial)
  • Conversant with Technical Standards and working knowledge of relevant legislation, codes of practice, safety, and statutory regulations
  • Experience of introducing policies, procedures, processes, and systems
  • Extensive knowledge of UK HSE systems, practices, and legislation with good knowledge of gas, electrical, other fuels, and energy sources standards (Oil / Solid Fuel / Renewable Technologies)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with confidence to challenge others to ensure positive outcomes
  • Maturity, professionalism, and strength of character in a fast moving, rapidly changing environment
  • Current UK driving licence
