MCS Technical Supervisor

About the Role

We are seeking a technically skilled and customer‑focused Renewable Heating Surveyor & System Designer to join our team covering the East Anglia region. In this role, you will be responsible for surveying customer properties, designing high‑performing heat pump systems, and producing accurate technical specifications and quotations that support successful sales conversion.

A central part of this position is ensuring safety, quality, and full regulatory compliance at every stage of the customer journey. You will play a key role in upholding MCS standards, validating system performance, and ensuring installations meet all manufacturer instructions and building regulations. Your work will directly influence the reliability, efficiency, and long‑term performance of each renewable heating system we install.

This role blends technical expertise with strong communication and consultative sales skills. You will help customers understand the benefits of renewable heating, guide them through system options, and ensure they receive a safe, compliant, and high‑quality installation that meets their needs.

Minimum Essential Criteria:

  • MCS Approved qualification
  • Full UK driving license
  • Experience conducting home surveys for Renewable Heating Installations
  • Experience designing and specifying ASHP systems
  • Familiarity with domestic building regulations and heating compliance requirements 

Skills and Aptitudes

  • Competence in producing clear, compliant system designs and specifications.
  • Consultative sales approach with the ability to identify needs and influence purchasing decisions.
  • Skilled at explaining technical concepts in clear, customer-friendly language.
  • Customer-focused, professional, and trustworthy when working in customers’ homes.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail.
