Service & Breakdown Engineer

Are you a skilled engineer who takes pride in solving problems and making a real difference? At Gasway, we’re looking for a Service and Breakdown Engineer to join our team. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to play a vital role in maintaining safe, reliable heating systems for homes across East Anglia. As a key member of our engineering team, you’ll:

  • Diagnose, maintain, and repair heating systems across gas, oil, and solid fuel appliances
  • Carry out servicing and reactive repairs on boilers, fires, and other systems
  • Ensure full compliance with Gas Safe and OFTEC regulations
  • Issue safety certificates and maintain accurate service records
  • Manage stock levels efficiently and liaise with approved suppliers
  • Take part in an on-call rota, providing essential emergency support when it’s needed most

To succeed in this role, you’ll need:

  • Domestic gas qualifications: ACS, CCN1, CENWAT, CKR1, CPA1, HTR1, MET1, HWSS1, CMDDA1, WREG
  • Proven experience in service and breakdown engineering
  • Strong ability to work both independently and as part of a team
  • A commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards
  • A full UK driving licence

  • Sharp diagnostic and problem-solving abilities
  • Confidence working under pressure in urgent situations
  • Strong technical knowledge, with experience using diagnostic tools and systems
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
